I find the best games are those that swing back and forth, it makes them far more interest to both sides.

I'm just back from a five-day road trip to the southern end of Florida, and seeing that elephant I wish I'd looked into some of the tourist stores there. Those dhows are superb!A Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07834159033854153921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5097902935093601429.post-47590415871215263502015-11-17T21:02:44.483-08:002015-11-17T21:02:44.483-08:00Daaaaaannnnnnnn, my friend, you are the man! Than...Daaaaaannnnnnnn, my friend, you are the man! Thanks so much for your thoughtful and generous comment, I really appreciate it. Also, as you've heard from me many times by now, I really couldn't have done it without your help to set up and then pack up afterwards. Also, I don't think I ever said anything to you about what a great job you did as Afghan overall commander. As I said in the post above, you and your team really didn't make any mistakes at all throughout the game, and certainly earned your victory, moderate though it may have been!

I think you're right and I do need a break... but I'm also trying to wrap up the final few loose threads of my Charasiab game -- getting more figures painted up in historically accurate fashion to represent the units at the battle, AND... starting to think more about starting to build the layout for another historical scenario I've wanted to do for a number of years, and even posted about here on my blog a few years back, when I first came up with it. Time will tell how that goes. Meanwhile, next time you are heading to LA be sure to let me know -- hopefully you'll be able to spare the time to play a smaller scale TSATF game at my place!Mad Guruhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03668417524454209192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5097902935093601429.post-91855306444416207242015-11-17T14:20:05.796-08:002015-11-17T14:20:05.796-08:00Wow, Mad Guru, you went over the top on this blog....Wow, Mad Guru, you went over the top on this blog. Nice! You really captured the spirit of Colonial Gaming here and Larry would have been proud! I can't wait to see your next project over the next months. I am sure you need a break. Great effort in everything you do and it is greatly appreciated by all. Congrats on the awards for Best Painted figures and best terrain. Both nicely done.

Regarding your game:
What a great battle Mad Guru. I had a lot of fun in the game. I even had fun helping you set it up and take it down. I learned a lot from your terrain techniques, game setup, customized acton deck, etc. If we could be called professionals and we got paid for doing this, this is what it would look like.

Thanks!

Last Stand DanLast Stand Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03391858913834441472noreply@blogger.com
