You are very kind using the word "legend in the making" -- too kind I am sure, but it's still fun for me to read! I have to admit I'm pretty happy with how the play-test went despite us not getting to finish the game, and I do think I collected a lot of useful info to help improve things for next time.

I LOVE your suggestion! I've only managed to actually do that once or twice over the past decade since I got back into miniature wargaming, and both times resulted in collections of great photos. I'm actually going to post a group of high-quality pics from the play-test that my friend Matthew managed to take while he was playing the game. Best would be a talented volunteer to write up the events turn-by-turn and also take pics for the visual record.

I will keep my eyes open for such an individual!Mad Guruhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03668417524454209192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5097902935093601429.post-36142918880542554362015-09-17T00:50:26.939-07:002015-09-17T00:50:26.939-07:00Thanks very much, Darrell! All the time I read this and looked at the photos I had "Ford, ford, ford o' Kabul river, Ford o' Kabul river in the dark!" running through my mind. Not sparing your blushes here, but I believe we're looking at a wargaming legend in the making. The play-through was gripping, and I can see it yielded a number of good points to consider for future games. I had to make similar judgment calls when it came to deciding how many figures could occupy built-up areas, hills and so on, since it would affect the game. A small suggestion - when the day comes, would it be possible to appoint someone as 'war correspondent' to take photos of the action, sparing you the task of recording it? You'd be able to devote all your attention to the game.
