These are some fantastic shots. I do not know if the effect was intentional or not but the shots of the cavalry silhoutes in the distance with the harsh light is beautiful. I have geniune conern for the lone artillary crew. Just fantastic, may make this my new desk top image.
Thanks for the kind words, Prinz Geoffrey. Yes, the silhouette effect was intended. I find lighting makes a huge difference to the feel or atmosphere of photos of miniatures. A while ago I moved one of my Maiwand terrain boards out into my driveway, laid out some figures and took some pics in the sun. I think they looked quite good and I posted them here. I'm hoping to set up the entire lay-out, all 12'x6', out in the sun some day, just to take pics.
