On Saturday October 14th & Sunday the 15th HMGS-PSW will be hosting its annual convention, being held this year at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Buena Park, California. As usual this convention will feature a mix of Historical, Sci-Fi and Fantasy miniature gaming. It's a nice hotel located down the street from Knott Berry Farm, less than a 10 minute drive from Disney Land, under a half-hour drive from LAX (during non-rush-hours) and a little over a half-hour drive to Huntington Beach Pier. Which is to say, it's not a bad spot to stay at if you or others you love and travel with want to do some non-hobby related stuff while you're there. The convention will be open 9am to 12 Midnight on Saturday October 14th & 9am to 7pm on Sunday October 15th, with 5,000 sq. ft. filled with vendors, a flea market, and dozens of tabletop miniature games spanning all genres.

Flames of War, DBA & Bolt Action/Konflikt 47 Tournaments; 218 b.c. Battle of Trebia River, 1638 Nordlingen, 1781 Guilford Courthouse, 1863 Camerone (run by yours truly & 2 of his buddies), 1879 Isandlwana, 1940 Gallabat, 1940 Narvik (naval), rotating series of renowned actions from ACW battles, Blood & Plunder, Battletech, and more!
(Also there is a solid rumor that in addition to teaming up with myself & Shawn "CAPT SHANKS" Hutson to run Camerone, "Last Stand" Dan Gurule will be bringing not one but TWO more games to this con, namely a US NAVY IN WARLORD CHINA "Not The Sand Pebbles" game complete with a river-blocking boom & a PANCHO VILLA VS. LOS FEDERALES Mexican Revolution extravaganza!)
