Colonel James Galbraith, Regimental Colour in hand, alongside Bobbie the regimental dog and some of the other "Last Eleven" survivors of the 66th (Berkshire) Regiment, making their last stand in one of the walled gardens just South of Khig village, a few miles West of the Afghan town of Maiwand.

1,000 1/72nd Scale Military Model on Display in Anaheim, Jan. 23-28, 2026

My good friend Mark Deliduka will be celebrating completion of his 1,000th 1/72nd scale military model by setting up his HUGE collection, all built by him -- starting in 1970!

As it says in the title of this post, Mark's collection will be out on display from Friday December 23rd to Wednesday December 28th, from 10AM to 8PM daily at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 11217 N Anaheim Blvd. in Anaheim, California -- which is the same spot where the "St. Crispin's Irregulars" wargaming club meets almost every Monday night and on the second Saturday every month.  The building has its own parking lot conveniently attached and if the front gate is shut you can easily make a right turn, drive through the adjacent parking lot, make another right turn into the alley and then one last right turn into the Hall's parking lot through the rear entrance.

I strongly encourage anyone reading this who is relatively local to the address and interested in scale modeling and/or Armored Fighting Vehicles to stop by for a visit, enjoy checking the collection out in person, and have the chance to pick Mark's brain re: any and all things scale model-making related.  Mark is a very talented and PROLIFIC model-maker and --  more importantly -- he's a great guy who's very generous about sharing his hobby knowledge and skills with anyone who asks.

Here are a few pics from the last time he set up his collection over the years, on the occasions of hitting #800 and then #900:

I will definitely be stopping by at some point myself and if I'm lucky maybe I'll get to see some folks who are reading this now there!
